Mai feiern wir den Nationalen Tag des Atlantischen Waldes, ein Datum, das auf die Unterzeichnung der Charta von S\u00e3o Vicente durch Pater Anchieta im Jahr 1560 zur\u00fcckgeht. In diesem wichtigen Dokument wurde zum ersten Mal der Reichtum der Artenvielfalt tropischer W\u00e4lder erfasst. in Amerika. Das Dokument berichtet \u00fcber die Erfahrungen und Beobachtungen von Pater Anchieta w\u00e4hrend seiner Reisen und Erkundungen in der Region. Es beschreibt die Merkmale der gefundenen Flora und Fauna sowie die Interaktion indigener Gemeinschaften mit der nat\u00fcrlichen Umwelt. Der Brief von S\u00e3o Vicente gilt als eine der ersten wissenschaftlichen Beschreibungen der Artenvielfalt in Amerika und liefert wertvolle Informationen \u00fcber die damals im Atlantischen Regenwald vorhandene biologische Vielfalt.<\/p>\n<p>Der Atlantische Regenwald, der zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Tropenwald Brasiliens, beherbergt eine einzigartige Artenvielfalt, die mit der gr\u00f6\u00dften auf dem Planeten konkurriert. Seine biologische Vielfalt umfasst eine gro\u00dfe Vielfalt an Pflanzen- und Tierarten, von denen viele endemisch sind, also nur in dieser Region vorkommen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus beherbergt die Region eine Vielzahl von Reptilien wie Schlangen und Eidechsen sowie eine Vielzahl von V\u00f6geln wie den Guan, den Gr\u00fcnschnabeltukan und den Rotkopfpapagei.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wasserfauna: Der Atlantische Regenwald beherbergt in seinen Fl\u00fcssen, B\u00e4chen und Seen auch eine F\u00fclle an Wasserlebewesen. In diesen Gew\u00e4ssern leben Fische wie Lambari, Dorado, Cascado und Surubim sowie Amphibien wie Laubfr\u00f6sche und Fr\u00f6sche. Dar\u00fcber hinaus tragen Krebstiere, Weichtiere und eine Vielzahl von Wasserinsekten zur Vielfalt des aquatischen \u00d6kosystems bei.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meeresbiodiversit\u00e4t: Der Atlantische Wald erstreckt sich auch entlang der brasilianischen K\u00fcste und bedeckt einen erheblichen Teil des Atlantischen Ozeans. In diesen Gew\u00e4ssern finden wir eine reiche Meeresvielfalt, darunter Korallen, bunte Fische, Meeresschildkr\u00f6ten, Delfine und eine Vielzahl wirbelloser Meerestiere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Diese Region umfasst etwa 15% des brasilianischen Territoriums und erstreckt sich \u00fcber 17 Bundesstaaten, von Piau\u00ed bis Rio Grande do Sul, sowie Teile von Argentinien und Paraguay. Obwohl dieser Wald w\u00e4hrend der Zeit seiner Entdeckung ununterbrochen den gesamten K\u00fcstenstreifen einnahm, sind heute nur noch zwei gro\u00dfe Fragmente der einheimischen Vegetation \u00fcbrig. Diese befinden sich in Serra do Mar, zwischen den Bundesstaaten Paran\u00e1 und Rio de Janeiro, und in der Region Foz do Igua\u00e7u, an der Grenze zu Argentinien und Paraguay. Daten von SOS Mata Atl\u00e2ntica zeigen, dass aufgrund der fortschreitenden Urbanisierung und Industrialisierung nur noch 12,41 TP3T des urspr\u00fcnglichen Waldes erhalten bleiben.<\/p>\n<p>Trotz der unbestreitbaren Bedeutung des Atlantischen Regenwaldes f\u00fcr die Erhaltung der Artenvielfalt ist diese Region weiterhin mit einer hohen Abholzungsrate konfrontiert, die mehrere Pflanzen- und Tierarten gef\u00e4hrdet. Bereits in den ersten sechs Monaten des Jahres 2020 war die Entwaldungsrate h\u00f6her als im gesamten Vorjahr.<\/p>\n<p>Aus diesem Grund spielen \u00f6ffentliche Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Erhaltung des Atlantischen Regenwaldes eine \u00e4u\u00dferst wichtige Rolle. Naturschutzeinheiten spielen beispielsweise eine grundlegende Rolle bei der Erhaltung dieser Region, indem sie nicht nur den Reichtum ihrer Artenvielfalt sch\u00fctzen, sondern auch mit den lokalen Gemeinschaften interagieren. Naturschutzeinheiten bieten nicht nur Aktivit\u00e4ten zur \u00f6ffentlichen Nutzung an, sofern dies zul\u00e4ssig ist, sondern f\u00f6rdern auch die Beteiligung der Gemeinschaft durch Verwaltungsr\u00e4te und die Entwicklung von Managementpl\u00e4nen. Es ist wichtig, dass die Bev\u00f6lkerung sich als integraler Bestandteil dieser Einheiten erkennt und sich f\u00fcr deren Erhalt engagiert.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Besorgniserregende Daten deuten auf die Notwendigkeit strengerer Gesetze zum Schutz des Atlantischen Regenwaldes hin<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nach Angaben des Nationalen Instituts f\u00fcr Weltraumforschung (INPE) wurden zwischen Oktober 2021 und Oktober 2022 mehr als 20.000 Hektar des Atlantischen Regenwaldes abgeholzt. Der Atlantische Wald ist ein Biom, das sich entlang der brasilianischen K\u00fcste erstreckt und neben Paraguay und Argentinien 17 Staaten umfasst.<\/p>\n<p>Minas Gerais ist der Staat mit der h\u00f6chsten Entwaldung: In einem Jahr wurden 7.456 Hektar abgeholzt, was mehr als zehntausend Fu\u00dfballfeldern entspricht. Die Landwirtschaft ist die Hauptursache f\u00fcr die Entwaldung in Bahia, Minas Gerais und Piau\u00ed und macht 73,21 TP3T, 93,41 TP3T bzw. 64,51 TP3T der entwaldeten Fl\u00e4che aus. Dieser Trend wiederholt sich im gesamten Biom, wo 86,41 TP3T der gesamten Entwaldung auf die Landwirtschaft zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren sind. Die endg\u00fcltigen Daten zeigen, dass die Entwaldung insgesamt 20.075 Hektar des Bioms erreichte, was zu einer Emission von 9,6 Millionen Tonnen CO2-\u00c4quivalenten in die Atmosph\u00e4re f\u00fchrte. Diese Zahl stellt eine Reduzierung um 7% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr dar, als 21.642 Hektar abgeholzt wurden. Allerdings ist die abgeholzte Fl\u00e4che die zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte der letzten sechs Jahre und liegt 761 TP3T \u00fcber dem niedrigsten in der historischen Reihe erfassten Wert.<\/p>\n<p>Was die geografische Verteilung der Entwaldung betrifft, sind Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paran\u00e1, Bahia, S\u00e3o Paulo und Santa Catarina f\u00fcr mehr als 501 TP3T der gesamten Entwaldung im Biom verantwortlich. In den ersten zehn Monaten des Jahres 2022 wurden 48.660 Hektar Wald abgeholzt. Bahia und Minas Gerais f\u00fchrten in diesem Zeitraum die Entwaldung mit 15.814 bzw. 14.389 Hektar an, gefolgt von Piau\u00ed mit 6.232 Hektar Entwaldung.<\/p>\n<p>Daten von SOS Mata Atl\u00e2ntica zeigen, dass diese Zahlen den Anstieg der Entwaldung im Biom best\u00e4tigen und damit einem Trend folgen, der auch in anderen Biomen in Brasilien beobachtet wurde, beispielsweise im Amazonasgebiet, wo in den letzten 10 Jahren die h\u00f6chsten Raten verzeichnet wurden. Als Hauptursache f\u00fcr die anhaltende gro\u00dffl\u00e4chige Entwaldung wird die gro\u00dffl\u00e4chige Ausweitung der Landwirtschaft identifiziert, was auf Vers\u00e4umnisse bei der \u00dcberwachung und Bek\u00e4mpfung der Entwaldung im ganzen Land hinweist.<\/p>\n<p>Es ist besorgniserregend, dass mehr als 861 TP3T der gesamten Entwaldung im Atlantischen Regenwald auf die Landwirtschaft zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren sind. Diese Statistik unterstreicht die Notwendigkeit eines umfassenden Ansatzes f\u00fcr die landwirtschaftliche Entwicklung, der die Erhaltung nat\u00fcrlicher Ressourcen und den Schutz der Umwelt ber\u00fccksichtigt.<\/p>\n<p>Die endg\u00fcltigen Daten zeigen, dass durch die Abholzung im Atlantischen Regenwald rund 9,6 Millionen Tonnen CO2-\u00c4quivalent in die Atmosph\u00e4re gelangt sind. Diese Emissionen tragen zur Versch\u00e4rfung des Klimawandels und seiner negativen Auswirkungen bei, wie etwa dem Anstieg der globalen Temperatur und der Versch\u00e4rfung extremer Wetterereignisse.<\/p>\n<p>Um diese alarmierende Situation umzukehren, ist es von entscheidender Bedeutung, strengere Gesetze zum Schutz des Atlantischen Regenwaldes einzuf\u00fchren. Diese Gesetze m\u00fcssen eine strenge \u00dcberwachung der Einhaltung von Umweltstandards, strenge Strafen f\u00fcr diejenigen, die gegen die Gesetze versto\u00dfen, und Anreize f\u00fcr nachhaltige Landnutzungspraktiken umfassen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist es wichtig, alle Bereiche der Gesellschaft, einschlie\u00dflich Regierungen, Nichtregierungsorganisationen, Unternehmen und lokale Gemeinschaften, in die Bem\u00fchungen zum Erhalt des Atlantischen Regenwaldes einzubeziehen. Auch das \u00f6ffentliche Bewusstsein f\u00fcr die Bedeutung dieses Bioms und die Vorteile, die es f\u00fcr die Lebensqualit\u00e4t und Gesundheit des Planeten bietet, spielt eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Erhaltung.<\/p>\n<p>Der Schutz des Atlantischen Regenwaldes liegt nicht nur in der Verantwortung Brasiliens, sondern ist ein globales Problem. Dieses Biom ist die Heimat einzigartiger Arten und spielt eine grundlegende Rolle bei der Klimaregulierung und dem Gleichgewicht des \u00d6kosystems.
